This project involves an addition and remodel to an existing mid-century modern residence built in the 1950s. The steeply sloping site is extended to create highly valuable flat area surrounding the residence. A second story with floor to ceiling windows takes advantage of the sweeping views for a tree house like atmosphere. Custom millwork intertwines midcentury elements with modern motifs.

Susan led the project’s design and permitting as well as project management and construction administration. She designed the interior architecture elements, including custom millwork elements. This project was accomplished while working at Belzberg Architects.
